His uncannily human behaviour was a source of both bewilderment and unease to the rogue AI who took him in, who upon realising their new find was no standard rogue, decided keeping him hidden was best for both of them. Unfortunately Rae's combination of curiosity and childlike naivety resulted in him leaving the rundown building they called home and venturing out into the city proper. He never returned.
Now living as a human with a false ID sourced from the underground society he had once been a part of, Rae works in telesales and shares a cramped apartment in Aethercove's Sector C with Casey Knight, who remains blissfully oblivious to the fact that her new flatmate is not human. Gentle and unassuming, Rae possesses an amicability that draws people to him, though he becomes awkward in social situations. He is incredibly smart, but has no common sense and possesses a certain vagueness that makes it hard to tell if he's truly paying attention or is simply daydreaming.
